SB 2121 revises regulations for business entities that act as data brokers. The bill amends the Business & Commerce Code to define businesses subject to these regulations based on revenue criteria. It applies to businesses that derive more than 50% of their revenue from processing or transferring personal data not directly collected from individuals or those that process such data for more than 50,000 individuals in a 12-month period.
