Initially Referred to House State Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 4406, titled the "P.A.C. Transparency and Accountability Act," increases disclosure requirements for direct campaign expenditures made by political committees and certain individuals. It mandates the reporting of all political contributions exceeding $50, including those made electronically. Additionally, it requires political committees to disclose direct expenditures supporting or opposing candidates, excluding those made by a political party's principal committee on behalf of a slate of candidates.
