Caption: Relating to solicitation of patients and other prohibited marketing practices and the establishment of the task force on patient solicitation; increasing criminal penalties.

HB 4454 creates the Task Force on Patient Solicitation to study and make recommendations on preventing improper patient solicitation and prohibited marketing practices in healthcare. The task force, composed of members appointed by the executive commissioner and the attorney general, will examine violations of specific marketing regulations and issue a biennial report with legislative recommendations. It also increases criminal penalties for certain prohibited solicitation activities.
