Caption: Relating to business organizations.
Initially Referred to Senate Business & Commerce Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to House Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committee, chaired by a Republican
SB 2411 amends the Business Organizations Code to clarify that business courts (established under Chapter 25A, Government Code) share concurrent jurisdiction with district courts for cases involving business disputes. It also reinforces that Texas business laws and judicial decisions take precedence over foreign state laws when interpreting corporate governance issues.
