HB 4745 prohibits the use of public money to pay for certain public benefits for individuals who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. It amends the Education Code to require school districts to charge tuition to undocumented students equivalent to the cost of providing educational services and to document and report their immigration status. It also prohibits state agencies and political subdivisions from providing public benefits, including health care and financial assistance, to individuals who do not meet citizenship or residency requirements.
