Caption: Relating to the establishment and administration of the Texas Quantum Initiative.
Initially Referred to House Delivery of Government Efficiency Committee, chaired by a Republican
This bill would cost taxpayers $8,580,223.00 over five years, according to the Legislative Budget Bureau.
HB 4751 establishes the Texas Quantum Initiative to position the state as a leader in quantum computing, networking, and sensing technologies. The initiative will be administratively attached to the Governor's Office and guided by an executive committee, which will oversee strategic planning, workforce development, and funding for quantum research and manufacturing.
