SB 2693 changes the role of advocacy groups in the juvenile justice system. It removes a requirement that the Texas Juvenile Justice Department must consult advocacy groups when developing its regionalization plan and allows the department to deny facility access to groups involved in lawsuits or federal complaints against it.
