This bill would cost taxpayers $3,446,368.00 over five years, according to the Legislative Budget Bureau.
HB 5154 enhances reporting requirements for the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP), which supports economically disadvantaged students pursuing medical education. It requires the program to include data on student dismissals, withdrawals, and the expenditure of graduate scholarships. The report must be submitted to the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the house by December 31 of each even-numbered year.
