GAWTP Priority #1: Liberty Bills ENDORSED
RPT Priority #2: Secure Texas Elections ENDORSED

SB 2753 proposes sweeping changes to Texas election procedures, including abolishing early voting and absentee voting, replacing them with a limited voting period from eight days before Election Day until the day before. It mandates the creation of voting centers, consolidating election precincts to central locations determined by county commissioners. The bill also reestablishes criminal penalties for electioneering violations near polling places and increases oversight of mail-in ballots by requiring deputy clerks to administer them under stricter rules. Additional provisions include stricter security measures for ballots, expanded requirements for election signage, and changes to polling place operations.
